EIGHT GAMES LEFT

PAPER is up, and includes the stats from tonight's two games. The first team remains unchanged, but the order is now very different. Zabian Dowdell had a 10-point advantage for the PAPER player of the year coming into tonight's action, and now, thanks in no small part to the defense of Mamadi Diane and J.R. Reynolds, he's now back with the rest of the pack. Everybody's got one game left to play now, and six players have a reasonable shot at Player of the Year. Should be one hell of a fun weekend.

In other news, Virginia has clinched at least a tie for first place in the ACC. I'm still in a bit of shock on that one, so I'll just let the picture to your right speak for itself.

Oh, yeah. That reminds me. One other thing. Jason Cain is going to make one hell of a basketball coach someday. I know he doesn't look the part, but I've been watching him interact with the coaching staff and the other players in timeouts all season, and the guy always has something positive to add. Tonight's post-game interview with Jim Hobgood on the UVa postgame show, and he answered every single question exactly how you'd expect a coach to answer them.
